Wow, we’re into the second week of 2012 already! We believe 2012 is going to be an awesome year! Want to add a little humor to your year? Click the link at the end to see some crazy and sill holidays to celebrate. Many of them will certainly help lighten your day. Just looking at the list is sure to bring a smile to your lips or warm your heart. Make sure you share with your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers! Happy 2012!!
Bryce has a new baby brother, and Madison has two new baby brothers! Congratulations to you and your families!!!
I would like to share our current “Giving Back to Community Commitment.” We’ve teamed up with Moon Valley residents Chuck and Nancy Smith, who for more than 20 years have packaged and delivered Holiday Care Packages to local families in need. We’re collecting new unwrapped toys for children of all ages, toiletries, towels, food, cold weather clothes, small appliances, gift cards, or whatever else your heart feels led to give. They are not a non-profit or organization of any kind, just a kind, loving couple doing what they can to help their community (they’re expecting more than 90 families to be on their list this year). If you can help, please drop off items at our academy M-F from 6am-6pm. They’ll be delivering the care packages later next week. OR, if your family, business or neighborhood would like to adopt a family, let me know and I’ll get you in touch with Chuck or Nancy. THANK YOU!!!
Check out the pay & take book sale in the lobby. New books added yesterday. ENDS TOMORROW (Wednesday the 14th). Proceeds go to help find missing children (sponsored by MCGRUFF Child Safe).
Achieving excellence as a result of Interactive, Hands-on, Accelerated Curriculum Based Learning. Whether we’re furthering the educational experience of a 4-year old, cultivating a toddler’s talents, or introducing an infant to art, it’s not about what we put into children, but what we bring out of them!
WOW! From the mouth of a three year old. We should ALL remember the innocence…..
What is in a HUG? Endorphins. Those natural “feel good” hormones that are released when you are the recipient of a positive action, as well as when you perform something positive. And when you feel good, life becomes easier and healthier. Many different studies have been done throughout the ages with similar results; three of the “biggies” being: endorphins can lower blood pressure, aid in curing depression and help relieve stress.
And the best part, HUGS are FREE! Who doesn’t love freebies??
So have you hugged your child, a loved one or a friend today? This week? This month?? Remember how you felt the last time you were blessed with an amazing hug from a special person? For me, a hug gives me warm fuzzies, the weight of the world seems to fall off my shoulders, and it makes me Smile! I see sunshine, rainbows and silver linings replace those gray and gloomy clouds. Then, as that infamous clothing company quotes, “Life is Good!”
Now, I challenge you as we are challenging our students — to become a Daily Hugger. If we all shared just one hug a day, the positive impact will be immeasurable! So come on, join us in creating some endorphins!
Who have you hugged today?
